By teaching child the basics act of giving builds their sense of belonging to the community and opens up lessons such as sustainability.

You can establish the community panty so parents can take items they my need for the nights meal but have not had time to dash off to the shops and get, and in return parents can contribute something from their own panty the next day.  Another way is to give food to local less fortunate members. Both choices are wonderful
